Welcome to Tonnelkop self-catering accommodation units and camping - set in the splendour of the Klein Karoo on South Africa's Garden Route between Oudtshoorn and De Rust.
Unit 1 ('Rooikoppe') is a one-bedroom accommodation unit with king size bed, bunk bed, television and separate kitchen and toilet (with shower). No formal lounge - sleeps 4 persons.
Unit 2 ('Lappieskombers') - one bedroom with a double bed and bunk beds. Separate kitchen / toilet / shower and lounge with sleeper couch. Sleeps 5 persons.
Unit 3 ('Die Winkel') - two bedrooms, one with double bed and airconditioning , the other with three single beds and fan. Separate kitchen, shower and toilet. Television sets in main bedroom and lounge. Sleeps 5 persons.
Unit 4 ('Pure Plaas') - two bedrooms, one with double bed and air conditioning, one with two single beds and fan (rooms divided by walls). Kitchen / lounge combination plus toilet and shower - sleeps 4 persons.
Unit 5 ('Pure Genot') - situated about 100 metres from the Office. It is private, with a spectacular view into the valley and the surrounding mountains, called the 'Rooikoppe'.
It consists of four rooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds, one with a single bed, and one with 3/4 bed.
Living area, separate kitchen and one bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet. All the rooms have fans,
except for the bathroom. Television with M-Net.
Lock-up garage with parking space for two cars.
Relax and enjoy the bright stars and silence of the Karoo. You can make use of the swimming pool and playground for children at the main premises.
Pets welcome - there is a safe, fenced-in area around the house.

It was a wonderful and peaceful venue, a break away in the heart of the Little Karoo. The host was very friendly and kind without being obtrusive. The scenery and views from Tonnelkop to the surrounding landscape was very idyllic, with mountains, fields of green and the most breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. One can sit on the porch and enjoy the sunsets with a glass of wine. The unit inside had all the necessities that a home away from home can provide, the bedrooms were adequately furnished. Lovely communal pool and braai are, safe and secure parking. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Tonnelkop and would recommend it to anyone who wants a real break away holiday venue.
